Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an experienced clinician in Critical Care at the Associate Professor or Professor Level to serve as Division Chief for Pediatric Critical Care. The Division Chief will oversee clinical service, patient care, research and scholarship, education and mentorship. The growth and development of faculty within the division is a priority for the department and offers tremendous opportunity for the new division chief. The team takes in-house call, provides sedation services, and has a backup attending scheduled Monday - Friday. This innovative, academic leader will have program oversight responsibility for the Pediatric Critical Care Division, including pediatric/neonatal ECMO and the Pediatric Sedation Services, which include pediatric intensivists and pediatric hospitalists. They will also oversee and participate in ongoing research in the unit.
